FALL TODDLER MUST HAVES FOR BOYS

Curious what your toddler needs this season? Today I am sharing the Fall Toddler Must Haves for Boys, featuring a variety of pieces that can be mixed and matched all season long. These items can be worn alone right now and layered once the temps start to drop. You can use this as a capsule wardrobe to get your stylish little boy through the season looking oh so cute, without breaking the bank.

FALL TODDLER MUST HAVES FOR BOYS

Let me go ahead and apologize for the iPhone photos now. However, it is an ACT OF CONGRESS to get this kid to pose or even look towards a “real camera.” Y’all have requested this post, so I am pushing my perfectionism to the side to create this fall-style guide for your toddler!

Skinny Jeans

FALL TODDLER BOY outfits

That booty though! Look for soft, stretchy, and durable. I absolute LOVE these super skinny jeans from H&M (wearing size 2-3), because they are reasonably priced and oh so comfy. And of course, they look adorable!

Matching Two-Piece Set

kids skull loungewear set

We LOVE matching sets at our house. Look for adorable prints that can easily be mixed and matched, soft materials, and a great fit. We wear these pieces both together and separately. This skull loungewear set is perfect…wear it with skinny jeans, a tee, and a puffer vest one week or together with sneakers the next. Perfect throughout the fall and winter!

Puffer Vest

denim puffer from NUNUNU

Speaking of puffer vests, this is a CRUCIAL piece to purchase, especially if you live in the South. Right now, we are pairing this with a short or long-sleeved tee, but you can layer it over a cute sweater once the temps start to drop. How precious is this denim puffer from NUNUNU?

Fur-Trimmed Parka

While we are on the subject of outwear, let’s talk about coats for a minute. I have been obsessed with Sam Outerwear (I literally die over these but SO expensive) in the past, BUT I found a more reasonable, just as cute alternative, This precious parka that costs less than $50 is padded, comes in a variety of colors, and boasts a removable fur hood.

Beanie

Is there anything cuter than a toddler in a beanie? I mean, STOP. I literally try to put a beanie on Asher everyday in the winter. They are functional and adorable. TIP: Do NOT buy one that is too tight or itchy. Your kid will NOT wear it. Here are my absolute favs:

Leather Sneaks and/or Boots

Kids leather sneakers

Asher has LIVED in these leather Puma sneakers the past month. They are extremely durable, comfortable, and perfect for the playground. Not to mention stylish, right? Another great shoe option for toddlers? Boots! I tried to put Asher in boots last year, but he just wasn’t quite ready for them. You will want to make sure they can walk well before attempting this. Make sure they are not too stiff and don’t restrict their ability to walk well. Sounds obvious, yes, but boots can be a little tougher to pull off. But goodness are they cute!

Cardigan

Fall toddler must haves for boys - cardigan

This leopard party cardi, yall. I literally can’t even! The greatest thing about a cardigan is that you can get SEVERAL seasons out of one. Size up, so they can wear it a couple years in a row. We have worn this leopard one for two years now. Also, this is another great layering piece that can be slipped off during the warmer afternoons but also layered over a long-sleeved tee and under a parka once those temps start to dip. Style with skinny jeans, joggers, you name it. I may or may not own the matching one for mamas!

Joggers

kids joggers

Speaking of joggers, this may be Asher’s FAVORITE item this season. They are much comfier than jeans but just as stylish. You can purchase traditional joggers, skinny joggers, or even leggings that will keep your kiddo warm and fashionable. I die for this set of two from H&M.

Layering Tees

Just like mama and dada, your little one needs some layering tees. Down here, the day can start out at a brisk 45 degrees but climb all the way to the 70’s during the afternoon. A few things I look for in a tee: soft material, durability, and LENGTH. For whatever reason, a lot of kids’ tees are super short. Look for ones that are longer, so they can wear them as they grow. Right now we are loving graphic tees (like this cool kids one), as well as neutrals, such as grey and black. I try to avoid white, because this is a disaster waiting to happen.

Fun Sweaters

Last but not least, THE SWEATER! One of my FAVORITE pieces for Asher to wear. Comfy, stylish, versatile, and warm, you can basically live off a few good sweaters. H&M has SUCH a great selection at reasonable prices. The skeleton sweater you see here is from H&M and less than $20. They are also very durable, which is key. Two of my other favorite brands are Hux Baby and Nununu. Asher has lived in these two brands for the past couple of years, BUT full disclosure, they are more expensive. You can definitely find them on sale though!
