Not today, Amazon. NOT. TO. DAY. It’s time to show some love to some of my favorite small businesses, including fashion, home, local, and Black-owned. Let’s get shopping!
Change is powerful, yet uncomfortable. Change takes time, and it takes courage. In order to change, we must first swallow our pride. Next, look ourselves in the mirror, have the self-awareness to see what needs to be changed, and take one step forward to initiate the change. It’s time we get comfortable with the uncomfortable. That’s simply the only way we will get better. It’s the truly the only way we can move past social injustices and move towards becoming anti-racist together.
With everything going on right now, Father’s Day has completely snuck up on me, and I am TOTALLY unprepared #sorryRyan. 2020 has been challenging (to say the least), but Ryan has been so beyond helpful and supportive. I honestly don’t know what I would have done without him. From cooking meals to helping with the kids to keeping the house clean (so I could participate in 8 hours of Zoom calls a day), he deserves to be celebrated, as do all the dads in your lives as well. I have put together a Father’s Day gift guide of the 13…
What I eat in a day. It seems so simple, yet so difficult to think about. Especially as many times as I change my diet these days. I have written this post no less than 15 times, because I simply have so much to say. Do yall want to see what I eat during quarantine? Or what about when I am being super strict? Or maybe a normal day? SO, I decided…I am going to show you what I eat in a day, right now, during quarantine. I’ve locked it up the past week, because the #Quarantine8 is definitely showing…
This healthy chicken piccata recipe was absolutely amazing. and the entire family loved it! PRO TIP: Don’t tell them how healthy it is, then sit back and listen to them talk about how delicious it tastes. Once everyone has cleaned their plates, go ahead and drop the healthy bomb! HA! I chose to use a bundle of fresh herbs, but parsley would work just fine.
HAPPY FRIDAY, fam! WHEW what a week. How is everyone doing? Are you living your best quarantine life, are you ready to run away and never come back? My mental state tends to change by the hour, but one thing I am looking forward to is my nightly weekly Bourbon Sour. I mean why wait, it’s 5 o’clock somewhere, amirite?
Since we are all holed up at home quarantine-style, I thought now would be the PERFECT time to launch my MOST REQUESTED SERIES: COCKTAIL OF THE WEEK. These will be simple, at-home cocktails that are fresh, clean, and of course, DELISH. Who’s ready for a quarantini or a French 75, perhaps? It’s 5 o’clock everywhere!
