Some of you may remember this outfit from New York Fashion Week. It is honestly one of MY FAVORITE LOOKS EVER, and it is perfect for the upcoming holiday season. I love adding a little sparkle for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, you name it. Sometimes sequins can feel a little over the top, so this year, try opting for tops (or bottoms…SO swoon-worthy) with a sleek sheen to them. You will look festive, yet chic. Does this outfit not just scream fancy Thanksgiving dinner party? The pointy white heels add a trendy factor, but any heel or bootie would do here. What’s your favorite look for the holidays? ALTERNATE STYLING SUGGESTIONS
Another suggestion: mix your textures. For example, pair with suede (LOVE this $138 option!!) or a cozy knit to balance things out. I even love this top with high-waisted black denim and sleek pointy toe booties. OR how about pairing with this $158 white fit and flare skirt? SWOON! Actually, I think I may wear this to an event I have on Thursday. Be right back, going to purchase the white skirt.
FIT TIPS
I am wearing a size 2 in the shirt. To be honest, it is a tad big, even pregnant. I probably should have gotten the 0, but I RARELY wear a 0 in tops (large chested girls unite). So, I would say stick to your regular size or even size down, depending how you want it to fit. I also have a very short torso, so I could see this top being shorter on you if you have a longer torso. In that case, purchase your regular size. This pencil skirt runs very large. SIZE DOWN! I am wearing an XS.
PREGGO STYLE TIPS
Preggo? I love pairing this with a super high-waisted, velvet skirt to avoid showing my tummy. I also LOVE the white fit and flare skirt I mentioned above or this high-waisted white pencil skirt.
