Heeeeeeeeeeey babes! Are you out there? Do you remember me? I hope so! Yes, I have been MIA for over a week. But I do have a good excuse. We celebrated Mini’s birthday alllllllll weekend, and I really tried to disconnect when possible. We threw a kick ass 1st birthday party on Saturday, followed by his dedication at church on Sunday. It truly was an AMAZING weekend, celebrating all things Main Man. I absolutely CANNOT WAIT to show you the pictures. The party was truly a labor of love, but my inner-party girl had a blast planning it. So, now onto the post about rocking those denim culottes! Gimme all the 90’s y’all. DENIM CULOTTES, REALLY?

YES, really. They are back and better than ever. I love the frayed detailing to make this 90’s staple fresh and new. Trust me, I was hesitant to hop on this trend at first, but now I am ALL ABOUT IT. They are extremely flattering and majorly comfortable. This outfit not only looks great with sneakers but would look absolutely adorable with heels, platforms, or ankle boots for fall. I just purchased these ahhhhhhhmazing Stella McCartney platforms (splurge alert!) and CANNOT wait to rock them with my culottes. Oh, and don’t even get me started on this Linea Pelle belt.

FALL TRANSITION

Need another reason to rock this trend? It’s almost fall y’all. And these jeans make the perfect transition piece. Pair now with a sleeveless silk top, then throw on a bomber once the temperature drops. Remember my Topshop camo bomber I got from the Nordstrom sale? Good news…it’s back in stock (still a great price at $110) and would pair PERFECTLY with these off white culottes and moto ankle boots. PS, say YES to white after labor day, especially in denim. I am also linking a more fall-ish version of this Keepsake top in LONG SLEEVES [inserts into cart immediately]. PS, how FAB do these sunnies and vintage channels look with this outfit? They take it from YEAH to HELL YEAH!

FIT GUIDE

The shirt and jeans both fit true to size. However, if you are busty, i do recommend sizing up in the top, so it doesn’t pull across the front. My ombre glitter Stuart Weitzmans fit true to size but did take some time to break in. I made the mistake of wearing these for the first time while traveling. BIG MISTAKE. Now that they are broken in, they are super comfy. And the best part? They are ON SALE…over 50% off and less than $170!!

IN CONCLUSION

So, what are your thoughts on culottes? While these are trendy, I think they are here to stay. They are comfy, classic, and extremely versatile. I can’t WAIT to pair with my camo comber and Stella platforms. SWOON.

INSTA-STORIES

Last thought…Insta-stories. Tell me, do you prefer these or SNAPCHAT? I have taken a break from Snapchat, because I mean one of these short, instant video platforms is PLENTY.
