Happy Nordstrom Anniversary Sale you guys!! I debated over and over how much I wanted to cover this event. SOOOOO many bloggers are covering it. BUT you guys trust me for a reason, so I wanted to make sure I helped guide you through the monstrosity that it is. The bottom line: you can get some AMAZE deals on BRAND NEW, fall items.

As I planned out my strategy, I asked myself (and some of you!) what you would like to see, and how you would benefit. One thing I have noticed is that a lot of people are posting very similar outfits, which are all SOOOOOO cute. But, I asked myself, how do I not be so basic when it comes to the Nordstrom sale. And THAT is where my inspiration for this post began. So, here are 4 not so basic outfits from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale to help you stand out amongst the crowd! They are on-trend, versatile, and completely season-less.
MY NEXT NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE POST
As I shopped the sale yesterday, I tried to focus on basics, BUT I struggled to look for sweaters and such. I am the type of person that IMMEDIATELY wants to wear what I buy. I literally cannot wait to rip the tags off. Hi, my name is Lindsey, and I have a problem. So, I found myself gravitating toward pieces I could literally wear this weekend and then again in the fall by throwing on a blazer or a party cardi. HOW TO SHOP THE SALE (and this post)
I am not sure if you guys know this, but by shopping the Nordstrom sale through Life Lutzurious, you are literally helping to keep this passion project afloat for me. Website hosting, photography, travel expenses, etc etc add up tremendously. When you use my links, I earn a small commission that helps me pay da bills, y’all. - Click the gray font under each outfit to go straight to the Nordstrom site.
- Click each widget image underneath each outfit to go straight to the Nordstrom site.
- Head to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale tab in the menu at the top, and shop each category. You can click on whatever category you want to shop and then which ever article of clothing you want to shop. That will take you straight to the Nordstrom site.
- Sidebar widgets: The right side of the blog features 3 shopping widgets. These will be updated throughout the sale. The one that y’all are most interested in seeing is a widget that allows you to shop my Instagram stories. This one is at the top of the sidebar!!!! This top is SUPER comfy, oh so soft, and RIGHT on trend. Take your “basic” army green button up and spice it up a bit by adding embroidered flowers. And THIS DENIM YALL. So, stretchy and comfy, I could sleep in these! FIT TIPS: The top runs big, make sure you size down unless you want it super baggy. I am wearing a SMALL in this picture, but ended up ordering an XS. The jeans run VERY SMALL. I sized up 2 sizes. I typically wear a 24, and I am wearing a 26 in this pair. The fit is AMAZING though. Maybe my fav outfit from the sale so far.

This little top (only $45 during the sale) is perfect for date night, girls brunch, or even for your kid’s teacher conference. It can be worn now or later into fall with a leather moto or bomber jacket. I mean how cute would it be paired with this metallic moto jacket? SWOON (and only $85). Y’all, now is the time to rack up on jeans. Trust me on this: these jeans are EVERYTHING. Comfy, high-waisted, and with an undone hem. THIS is the NEW way to wear skinny jeans. See, you can be on-trend without being “trendy.”

Y’all, this top is made by one of my FAV brands. Their tops LAST FOREVER and are extremely versatile. I will KILL this shirt during the week for work, then rock it on the weekends with the hubs. If you are on the shorter side, wear this as a true tunic with a party cardi thrown over it! Are you guys noticing a denim trend? I am telling you: CROPPED, ALTERNATIVE hems are THE WAY TO GO THIS FALL!! It’s so rare that this brand of denim goes on sale. Take advantage!

I am not going to lie…this is jacket ain’t cheap. But if any of these apply to you, you need to scoop it up now: 1) You LOVE finding designer DEALS. This one is MAJ on sale…40% off. 2) You live in a bomber jacket. Y’all this is totally me. You will see me in this bomber jacket every.single.week. AND it is reversible. Price per wear y’all. This is two jackets in one. 3) You are OBSESSED with Opening Ceremony. I get it. They definitely have a cult following. This is probably their HOTTEST fall piece, per their words!! This denim jumpsuit can be worn ALL YEAR LONG. It can be worn now with sneaks or espadrilles, in the fall with a bomber and sneaks, and into winter with tall booties and a leather jacket. GREAT investment piece that is under $200 during the sale!
